Who We Are

The New Mexico Bead Society is a New Mexico not-for-profit organization. The society was founded in 1984 and is dedicated to the study, discussion and exchange of information about beads and beadwork and to share our knowledge through educational programs, workshops and a newsletter. Its objective is to educate its members and the general public about the historic and artistic importance of beads and beadwork.

Where We Meet

Our meetings are held on the 4th Monday of each month except July and December. The meetings are held at the heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Road NE, Albuquerque at 6:30 p.m. 

NOTE:  FOR 2008 he dates are Not always the 4th Monday of the month due to scheduling conflicts and holidays.  Please see Current Calendar for dates and times.

Cumberland Presbyterian Church is located on Academy and Moon between Eubank and Wyoming. There is a stop light at the intersection of Moon and Academy. Turn south on Moon and then left (east) into the church parking lot.

Membership

Membership is open to all who have an interest in beading. Membership benefits include: speakers, annual workshops, library of bead-related books, magazines and other materials, newsletter, book discounts, mentoring, and community service opportunities.
